Uninstall Windows Programs Wine카테고리 없음 2020. 3. 1. 17:48
Hi, from what I gather, it didn't install the 'uninstall.exe' so that you could run it to perform the dirty work for you. (look for it in /.wine/drivec/Program Files/. If there is no unistaller, the easiest thing is to remove the directory to which it installed. It might stay in the wine registries or something like that, but that's not much of an issue I think. If its the menu entries you want to get rid of, search for corresponding.desktop files in something like /.local/share/applications/wine/Programs.Serafeanrrrssssss 03:50 PM. Thanks serafean,I noticed I did not have a.wine folder in my home directory (show hidden files turned on). But what I did do was kept everything the way it was and installed VZ access manager in wine using a different approach.
I simply double clicked on the.exe icon and when a window opened asking what program I wanted to open it with, I typed in wine and clicked ok. This time the program installed fully even though I couldn't see if there were any errors since the terminal window was not involved this time. It even gave me an icon on my desktop to launch the program with.
Uninstall Any Program
Now I have a.wine folder in my home directory with the system files. The first way I did it was typing 'wine nameoffile' in a terminal window.I have tried and tried to find out where the system files from the first blotched install were copied to but can't seem to locate them. If I could locate them, I would delete them and just use the files in.wine in my home directory instead.By the way, VA access manager still didn't work, but it did fully launch. It never could detect the USB modem. I think it looks for the modem where it would be in a Window's install and not in the /dev directory on ttyUSB0 in the Linux system.I just thought I'd post this to see if anybody else can tell me where the system files are located from the first blotched install when I used the terminal window so i can remove them. Thanks for your time,RoyAll times are GMT -5.
